Teak tables can be constructed in a variety of ways but a solid construction at the joints is the best. This produces a more solid table top and is considered the best practice for table construction. Other parts of the table use mortise and tenon joinery in their construction, which is the most superior of all construction methods, resulting in solid durability.

You should also consider the shape of your teak tables because they will affect the placement of your tables. You can find round, oval, or rectangular teak tables to match the shape of your deck or patio. Generally decks and patios are square or rectangular in shape but do not be afraid to experiment with the layout.

Quality Teak Tables
If you want quality teak tables, search for manufacturers that use teak wood obtained from renewable plantations that are environmentally friendly. Tables should be constructed of solid pieces of wood and not only fingerjointed. You will also want to check for cracking or splitting when shopping for teak tables and this can be checked by the quality of the wood.

The teak wood should be kiln dried because it allows the wood to possess a moisture content of 8 - 12%. This process is superior to air drying that is offered by other manufacturers and ensures wood dryness at the core, not only at the surface. Kiln dried teak reduces checking, cracking, and splitting
