Furniture: Teak Patio Furniture
Teak patio furniture comes in a natural unfinished form so you can choose to finish the teak with oil or leave it as is. For customers preferring to use an oil to finish the teak, it will give your teak patio furniture a great look. Using teak oils will darken the complexion of your furniture and give it a dark rich luster that looks great both indoors and outdoors.
Some prefer to leave their teak furniture natural and let the natural outdoor patina lighten it to a silver gray luster. The choice is always left to the customer for finishing but keep in mind that oiling your teak furniture creates a maintenance schedule. Teak oil will become splotchy after being exposed to the rain and it also allows mildew and mold to grow quickly on your furniture
Assembling Teak Patio Furniture
Teak patio furniture requires very little assembly time. Most of the components are pre-assembled by the manufacturer and can be put together with a hammer and a screwdriver. It will take approximately 15 minutes per item to assemble the furniture.
As a general guide, folding chairs, steamer chairs, and folding gate legged tables require no assembly. Umbrellas and loungers require very little assembly. Benches, dining chairs, armchairs, extendable tables, and coffee tables, on the other hand, all require light assembly. They usually require driving pre-made dowels into pre-drilled holes to lock mortice and tenon joints into place.
